like josh said, harbor frieght has a low racing jack.

i know for sure that napa has a model as well and its about the same if not a little lower and longer than the harbor freight one.

i personally use the harbor freight jack and i havent had any issues using it on multiple lowered cars at the track

i have the craftsman 2 ton aluminum jack, and my friend has the harbor freight, I have to say that you get what you pay for, mine is a much better linear rate when lowering it, the harbor freight one seemed to jump when you just touched it to lower it. the Craftsman one is about $200.

Jeeezz....I have the Craftsman one as well, doesn't work so well on a bodykit. Phone books, etc. Not to mention that it weighs a crapload and I have to carry it down from my apt. when I use it. So the slimline slides right under there?sweet, been looking for one.

For the guys talking about the harbor freight one. Do you know whats the maximum load on them? 1.5ton? 2ton?

I had a friend who mentioned something about jacking up his mr2 at the track and the jack wasn't able to hold all the weight and basically blew up, spilling oil all over the place.

Yup. There's a cheaper one that's blue and brushed at Northern Tool - also a Torin. I'd suggest swinging for the red and brushed one though. More capacity, longer as well for reaching more jack points.

That's a really nice one if you're low, but still some of us have to drive on ramps or remove the bumper just to use it. I carry my ramps in the car anyway so I can get by with using most floorjacks without needing a super low profile one.

friend had the crafstman aluminum racing jack that they offer and he complained about it so much. he went through 2 of them and the third would make the strangest noises when jacking up the car. I swear that shit felt like it was about to give at any given second. Plus the warranty is bullshit. It's only a year on lift equipment and that's usually around the time they start to give out.

I'll probably be picking up a HF one for under $100 or the AutoZone Duralast one for under $100. Undecided if I want the LED jack or not.

As much as i always hesitate to buy any tool with a LED on it, i'm always glad after i do. Those stupid little lights come in handy all the time.

On drills, saws, keychains...anything.

I love my LED Glasses that I got from azndoc. Sometimes they're the only light I have while I work on my car at night. They're definitely worth their weight in gold imo.

I might try out that LED jack after all then. If I don't like it I'll just return it and get a normal one.

slim line ? you mean low pro right.

Well I just picked this up from harborfreight today. - Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices Very nice!
As you can see on the website 2 3/4 min height, 75lbs. Also just used it today the release is very smooth, easy to let down slow, easy to control, solid ass jack. I actually was in time for the 15 percent off got it for around 83.

You dont need aluminum if you just gonna use it in the garage.
