s14 Master Clutch Cylinder Problem?

Hey Guys,

I've searched the forum regarding my problem and I didn't find much info about it. Anyways, I just recently had the clutch replaced about 3-4 weeks ago and now having some issues. I'll just list the parts installed to make it easier for you all.

S14 SR20DET Tranny:

RPS Max Street Clutch
RPS Flywheel
NISMO Slave Cylinder
NISMO Clutch Line Kit **Removes/bypass the dampner line
NISMO Pivot Ball

Now for the problem: One week after the install I noticed my clutch pedal pulse, before that the pedal feel was firm and engagement point was pretty good (low to mid). I tried bleeding the clutch and adjusted the clutch pedal, which made a little difference (less pulse feel) however, what I did notice was on cold morning starts my Clutch pedal will feel weak/soft (some pedal play) and the engagement point was really early (low), and after driving for 5 min, the pedal will then feel firm also the engagement will get higher (mid to high pedal).

So i'm thinking that I might have a failing 'Master Cylinder' but I like to get your guys oppinion before replacing that part. Thanks in advance.

Steve.

look for any leaks rubber line to slave as well as clutch master cylinder hard line? im assuming you took that box out the one where the hard line connects to forgot whats its called but follow the hard line and you'll find it.

bleed from clutch master cylinder to the box underneath your car to the slave will move air from highest point to lowest removing all air within the lines try that then pm me with any other info you got

if not im thinking your clutch master cylinder is broke or giving up happened to my bros s14

if you didn't replace the master, or if you did but with a rebuilt unit from an autoparts chain store, then you can expect this problem after installing a clutch with a heavier pressure plate.

I had an autozone master and it was fine for about a month.. then the engagement point would float on me. any time i left the car parked for more than 10 hours or so I'd have to lift the pedal from the floor, and then It would drive fine until parked again. When I installed my Exedy Stage-2 the pedal would sink to the floor in as quickly as 20 minutes, but only sometimes. I can't figure out how that was happening without losing fluid but I have a new tokico MC now and it's working properly.
