Anyones ignition switch ever gone out while they were driving?


When I turn my car to the ON position my fuel pump doesn't kick on, radio won't come on, and automatic seatbelts do not engage.. My headlights, and hazzard lights still work. I've checked all grounds and all fuses. My batteriy is new and its not bad(tested), charged at 12v. An my alternator is also new and works fine (tested). I'm guessing its my ignition switch. Any special tools I'll need or any last ideas before I try to tackle this?

mines went out on me when i was in the hood lol. was pain in the ass tryin to push it of the street. its easy to change just take of the plastic covers on the steering column and its right thier.

haha ya I had to push it a good ways. Would your car still ding with the key in the switch? thats the only thing that makes me wonder if it is the problem.
