The 2 extra wires control the folding/unfolding motor. You'll have to run a new wire for each from the mirror to the switch. The other 3 should work the same as the original. I think they are even the same colors. Unfortunatly I can't tell you exactly where the 2 new wires go on the switch but it should be easy enough to figure once everything else is working. I can find a scan of the US mirror diagram but I couldn't find the JDM mirror diagram. Someone else may have more exact info to give.

Ha! I wish I took pictures. Anyways, I only had manual mirrors but I did study the power stuff because I was supposed to get new doors with all the power stuff in them. Basically each JDM mirror should have a pair of connectors. One with 3 wires and one with 2 correct? The one with 3 wires should fit into the connector that your old pwr mirrors connected to. The connector with 2 wires should be the one that retracts the mirrors. You'll have to run 2 extra wires from each mirror to the switch to hook up the folding action. If you don't have the connectors on the mirrors and they are all just together, I'll PM you the colors for the 3-wire connector. But I can't remember off hand what the other 2 wires were.

At the switch, you will probably have to splice in all the wires because they use different connectors. Most of the wires should match but there are a few power source wires and such. I may have a diagram that I made. Like I said, I studied the wires pretty good so that wiring them up would be simplified.

Now if you don't have pwr mirrors originally everything will have to be run on it's own. Basically along the same route as the door speakers.

yo! ok the JDM mirrors have a totally different connection w/ 5 wires. its just one piece as well and its flat. the US/Canadian/Mexican version has a square connector with only 3 wires. same colors, minus two. ok!! the wires are going to be cut from their conncetors and just mated to each other. how fun .

heres the difference between the US and the JDM wiring harness:

colors:

US- blue. purple. yellow
JDM- blue. purple. yellow. pink. orange.

i think the pink and orange fold and unfold the mirrors. also if you guys wanted to you could use the JDM switch that has the button to fold the mirrors. i know becasue im using it right now. although that little button switch thingy has no function as of yet.

and i also need to swithc the housings right? the mirror housings has to be switched becasue the JDM ones and the US ones are on different angles? or is this tottaly unnecessary?

and by the way... GArrett you ROCK!

you definitly have to use the jdm triangle bases. I know that one have been written out pretty good a couple times but can't remember who did it.
