SR SR20 swap, MAFS problems!

Hey everyone! Just swapped my sr20, here is the problem:
It starts and idles, not a very smooth idle... anyway you cannot rev it up or it dies.

What I have done:
Checked ECU, code 12 MAFS
Checked wiring from MAF sensor to ECU
Tried a SOHC MAF

Other stuff:
I have 12v on the black/white stripe wire @ maf, the black ground wire is good all the way back to the ECU, but:
White wire reads 12 volts with key on, ignition off, if I ground the black wire to chassis (in addition to ecu) it drops to around 1 volt.

What should it read? Is my ECU bad?

Thanks guys!

check your air filter adapter. It may be blocking the sensor.

I have just the MAF, no airfilter or airfilter adapter.
