My 240sx is doing great except for a lil problem. My car stops by itself. I was thinking that maybe the brake caliper thingie might be getting stuck and not moving properly. It's real hard to understand why this is happening cause my car could be just fine for a couple days but then the car doesnt want to move and I have to force it to cause Im usually in the road or something so after I get back home I smell my rear right tire and it ahs a smell of like my brakes are rubbing against the rotor. Can anyone help me on this, and if it is the caliper, how much do u think it would cost? I looked at some used part dealer on the web and I get very different prices. Do I need the caliper hardware kit? Do I need the Caliper piston? I have no idea. I have seen some really differing prices ranging from 10 bucks for the kit to 399 bucks. If u know the prob could u check out the price and tell me? I appreciate it, thanx.

BTW--90 240sx fastback

im telling you this because this happened on my 97 s14...  but i dont know if its the same thing..

my pads have these eraser size nubs on the back that go into the piston... the piston has 4 slots on it..  and my friend who helped me put them on last didn't put the nub in one of the 4 slots.  and that pad was always pressed hard into the rotor at an angle... it made my car pull hard to the left and felt like it didnt want to move.. so maybe you should check that out.
