KA-T Compression Ratio

What is the stock compression ratio on a KA? Also, has anyone built a KA-T and changed the compression ratio when buying new pistons? I think that, while lowering power due to less compression, it would benefit more because you could see higher boost with less chance for detination. Also, if it was a dish design wouldn't it be less prone to detonation? Anyone have any ideas/thoughts about this or something related?

EDIT: Um....I kinda f*cked up and put this in chat. I meant to put it in tech talk....so if any mod can help me out and stick this in tech thx.

9.5:1 is stock

I have seen motors built to 9.0:1 and 8.5:1. You loose a little low end torque and responsiveness...but you do gain some a higher detonation threshold, so you can make more power. You don't really gain on the geometry...since the stock pistons are dished anyways...there is just a larger dish.

Yea... most of the nasty powered KA-Ts are running 8.5:1 CR. I will, Boosted is, Jay was, and I'm pretty sure Chris May was also.
