SR Opinions on cut harness sold sr20det...

...are they worth the decent price i can get 1 for. A local jdm engine dealer here in Atl sells sr20det's for about 1400. Everthing seems cool (warrantied of course) except the harness is cut. Should i invest and who can wire me up a harness.

That might be a decent price, if it includes EVERYTHING else, ecu, ignitor, ect.

I was considering getting a motor with a cut harness and resoldering all 60 or so ecu wires. The thing is, it would be cheaper overall for me to buy one with a good harness and then make my own and sell the original.

getting a cut harness motor does not save you money in the long run. You will either pay some one more money to do a frankenstein wire job or you will spend anywhere from $250-$550 extra for a full SR wire harness either stock or ready to go plug and play. for $1800 I could sell you a full motorset engine trans ecu and harness .

How can they have a warranty and not even sell you all the parts needed for install. If its a guarenteed start up warranty and you get your harness somewhere else i would think they would blame it on the harness and not back up the warranty.
