96 ka24de swap into 89, ecu questions

I've found a 96 ka24de I'd like to swap out into my 89 coupe since I've blown my ka24e. only thing it doesn't have is an ecu, I've found a 95 ecu but for an automatic, will this work?

And the other thing I'm wondering about is this...I talked to jason at unstable hybrids and he said that the ecu wiring from 95 and up to 89 is a huge pain...is this really true, or is he just figuring that I'm virtually incompetent, which is really true, however I have smart people to help me

any advice?

thanks
-Alden

nope its a pain. think about it. your going from a single to a double AND adding OBDII (thats a whole mess of censors) best bet would be to find a 96 harness and ecu. I dont think the auto would work right with the 5 speed. I could be wrong.
