KA Neutral Safety Switch

I have a 98' kouki, autotragic for now, not enough money to swap right now.

My CEL is on for the neutral safety switch and the car goes in and out of overdrive by itself and will stay in lower gearing all the time, the car is undriveable on highways as the revs are too high. If i shift into "2' or "1' the transmission does not kick down as it normally would.

First, does it sound like the switch is the problem with the o/d troubles?

Second, where is it located on the auto transmission, I looked through the fsm AT section but found nothing, I was told there is two.

Third, I hear you can just bypass the switch itself, but if there is two, do I need to do both, or just one, and which one?

Lastly, is the switch the same in all s-chassis auto cars? Like can I use an S13 sensor or maybe even an automatic altima sensor?

Thanks for any help.
