the size of the S15 engine is identical to the S14 the transmission is a little longer though.requires use of the S15 driveshaft in a USDM application.

no like...doesn't the s15's tranny get int he way with the center console and stuff? or ..i dunno i just heard that thats what happens in an s13 (swapping s15 sr into s13) so i just guessed that it was the same for the s14 (since they're both 5-speed and s15 is 6)...but of course with enough $$$ anything is possible.

yeah s15 is more wiring and you need the rear diff and s15 driveshaft thats why

my personal opinion
go s14 sr20det in the s13
why?
vvt=you dont need to worry unless you go around 400 hp, hen you'll need some serious tuning, no dreaming please, but 400 HP is A LOT of money (A LOT A LOT)

ball bearing turbo.
220 hp to fly
and most likely MUCH LESS mileage

i say for sure go s14 SR20det

never seen it done. even in japan. you need to look at side shots of s13s/180sx and s15s and you'll see why.

anything i spossibly w/ money.but for that amount, you are just wasting money. its a 240sx, you should be proud of that and not try to make it into something it is not, and never will be. the 240sx (aka 180sx if you want that JDM style) has so much potential. don end up like tat **** you see in super street. its a 240sx, dont add that "JDM" style stuff.

in my book, it would be no better then that person w/ the accord who did the skyline body. you are doing the exact same thing.

gotta take a step back and really look at what your doing.

...you think so? i dunno cuz i wanna do the s15 front end...thing is...EVERYONE HAS THAT (or so they say--ive yet to see one on the streets tho) and so, in my ever-present way of trying to out do the "competition" (not very hard thanks to mr. chu) i thought...s15 front? might as well do the rear too eh? so yeah, even tho the sil80s are real nice...

let me ask you this:

what is the purpose of your car?

bling factor?
show points?
track car?
daily driver?
high power?
mid power?

etc..

then go from there. its best to plan it out before laying out the $
