Rim size/width?

I see a lot of 240s in pictures where the wheels are pushed out flush with the fender. That looks ten times better than stock, where the wheels are about 2 inches inside the fender front and back. What width rim and offset do i need to get the wheels to be even with the fender. Or do I use spacers? Help?

This link might help. Try using google first sometimes because people will get mad and say stuff like "use search" and "use google."

I also heard some people measuring the distance between the rotor and the fender to give rim distributors an idea of what they want.
