Here's a step-by-step process to acquiring an SR clip. Of course, it requires you to be in Japan, first

1. Wander around a junkyard until you stumble upon a clean S13... You probably won't be wandering long...

2. Unbolt the front end pieces

3. Grab a Sawz-all and saw away...

4. That's right... Keep sawing... Right across the windshield...

5. Voila! One less S13 Silvia

and yet one more SR clip for the US

Repeat process with the 180SX you find mere seconds later...

Afterwards, take a walk through the woods to relax...

Hmmm... Even in the woods you can't escape the SR

A junked S14....

in almost perfect condition!

Perfect Miata... Roll-bar and all

Why does it scare me that he's messing w/ a car that has another car sitting on top of it? Just looks kinda odd. Interesting way of saving space in the yard though!

i've always wondered how they get clips. i've always thought they were a little more careful than carefree. my friend showed me a S15 clip he has at his shop and that thing looked all tore up. just imaging someone happily cut away on a S15...

also, those ppl enjoyed cutting those cars a little too much. do they think they're gonna do something as cool as in Monster Garage? hehe.

As I pointed out on another board, look closely at the blue Silvia that's shown getting cut up; it's a CA18DE Q's

Edit: hey Vadim did you notice that the car behind the Silvia in the first pic is a Mk3 VW? At least I think it is. VWs aren't all that unpopular there, maybe someone should start importing ABF 16v clips from Japan...

the cost of owning an "OLD" car in japan is more than it's worth, thousands of dollars (yen? ha) in taxes every year, it's how japan keeps people buying new cars... they have tons of laws about old cars to make them not worth driving. it's part of Japanese failing economic situation... like, Houses NEVER increase in value in Japan, because who wants an old house? right? ha... those crazy Japanese, what will they think up next?
