high beams turn on when i turn signal light on

Last night I noticed my high beams turn on when i signaled for a right turn lane change while i was on the freeway. Just a few minutes ago as I was driving home I noticed it did it again a few more times. While i was driving up my driveway i was messing around with the lights. I signaled for a left turn and everything was fine. I signaled right and the high beams kept turning on each time. Does anyone have any idea what might be happening?

On the first weekend of this month I installed a quick release on my car and about a week or so ago I noticed that, while my lights are on, when I switch from low to high beams there is no little click in between. For example, when you want to quickly hit the high beams at someone in front of you to speed up or get out of your way you would pull the stick about half way and then let go so the high beams turn on and then pop back to low beams. I cant do that on my car. What causes the stick to pop back to low beams, that click you feel on the stick, doesnt seem to work. I thought maybe something was moved when I installed the quick release. Anyone? I've been driving like this for a week or so but just yesterday night i noticed the high beams turn on each time i turn on my right turn signal.

Does anyone know what might be the problem or where i can start the troubleshooting? Thanks for taking the time to stop by and read my thread.
