S14 window won't roll up

So I bought a new S14 the other day and the driver window won't roll up. I here from a 240 friend that its most likely the window amp, but it however could be the window motor as well. I have a parts S13 and was wondering if the window motor & or amp would be work in a S14.? Or are they different?

*they are different. you can make it work but its not worth it.

*First rip the door panel off, get a test light and check if the is power going to the window motor, if there is no 12v then the window switch/amp (same unit) is bad. if there is then the window motor is bad.

*If you do not have the experience, remove your door panel and go to a mom/pops stereo install shop and ask them to check if the window motor is bad and they most likely do it for free.

Good luck!!!

depending on your year s14
there will be a amp on early models

take the door panel off and feed 12volt on the motor plug directly that will tell you if the motor is working or not

I can fix your window motor if you send it to me

have someone take your door panel off ,take a booster pack [like what you use to jump a car off with] unplug the window motor use 2 wires with universal electrical connections so the naked wires wont touch put 1 wire on one terminal on the back side of thre motor ,the other on the other terminal on the back side of the motor.connect the other end off the 2 wires to the booster pack 1 to red 1 to black.if it does not work swap the wires on the booster pack end around.if the motor does not do anything it`s the motor .what you do is like you skip everything btween the battery and the motor ,make sure you unplug the motor,
