Post Tranny Noise?

So, I had some rattling noise whenever I accelerate. My first educated guess was the throw-out bearing. So I purchased a new SPEC clutch kit,.. I decided not to install it yet, and do some more research on the noise. So I popped the hood, and heard the noise with the engine idleing. At first glance it sounded like it was coming from the A/C compressor, but then after grabbing my stethoscope, I heard it coming from the alternator. It happened to be the bolt that holds the alternator to the bracket that was loose. So I shut off the engine, and pull the bolt.. it was stripped at the threads. This now explained 2 things, low voltage and occasional belt squeal. Went to Home Depot and picked up a new bolt and it's now good as new. Moral of the story.. look over the car before ordering new parts. Since the car has over 150k miles on the stock clutch, I sure that the new clutch will work just fine.
