corbeau seats...fitment questions?
so i have decided that i would like to run a bucket/fixed seat in the driver side and passenger side s14 seat in my s13. i've also begun the process to get door inserts, glove box, shift boot, s14 seat, and arm rest cover wrapped/made out of the same black microsuede fabric that corbeau uses as an option for their seats. i've been set on the microsuede fx1 pro seat w/ nagisa nams double locking seat rails. lately i've been wondering about the forza3 in microsuede w/ bride mo seat rails. i'm a fat kid but will fit in either seat roughly the same...my concern is height w/ and w/ out a helmet. is anyone running the same setup or even better have pics of said set up...i've been searching my ass off on here but to no avail. i've read a couple posts of people saying the forzaII fit well but couldnt find any detailed write ups. checked the mega seat thread but none of the models i'm after were in there...thanks in advance!

from what i've read if they're sidemount nagisa dlock rails are they way to go and bride mo if they're bottom mount. fg's will more then likely not fit corbeau as the seats are wider then most buckets...

I have a corbeau FX1 Pro with a Nagisa side mount rail, love it. I am 6' 1" 155 lbs and I fit super snug in it- probably have about 3 or 4" of head room, helmet fits fine. I don't have any great pictures at the moment, but these show it a bit:

hows the fabric wear? i heard they go fast thats kind of why i'm going with microsuede. i used to have a buddy club wide and i was snug. i think the fx1 is only slighlty skinner i'm 200lbs w/ about a 34-36" waist...hopefully i fit. thanks VERY MUCH for your input i really appreciate it! (also, thats the single lock side rail for the seat right?)
anyone sporting the forza seat...thats my fall back if the fx1 wont fit me? |

Yep, I have the single lock. I am a 31" waist, but there is a little room left I would say. I think the FX1 is wider than the FX1 Pro too if I remember right. The fabric wear is decent, better than older corbeaus were by a lot. I have noticed this seat is a lot more resistant to wear and fading than the CR1s I had in my solara a couple of years ago. It does have some wear, but nothing crazy. I have used it daily in my 240 for about 5 months, and it was in my brother's subaru for about a year of daily driving and it is still in really nice shape.
I will try to get some better pics tomorrow, but yeah- overall, I have been pretty happy with it for the price. |
