KA ka24de distributer problems???

i just bought a 1991 240sx ka24de for my first car today. and when i driving it, it turned off on me??? the car already had a leaking water pump but i didnt think much of it...but now it wont start. the guy i bought it from said sometimes it feels like the car isnt getting enough gas and then will turn off, which it did EXACTLY WAT HE SAID. so i wanted to kno if there was anything i should check...also, wen i pulled the spark plug wire, there was no spark.
so please someone help me out before i go out and buy a new distributer.
thankyou

Did you check all the spark plugs? Are the spark plugs good? Maybe an injector. Does it feel kinda wabbley while it's running?

It could be your ignition coil as well, although that is pretty rare to go bad. In all honesty it is likely your distributor.
