So I went to change the oil on my new S13 and there was oil all over the bottom of the pan, same color as the rest of the oil, and seemed fairly fresh, it's not leaking profusely, ie there's no puddles when I park, and I haven't had it long enough to notice if it's consuming oil. I'm wondering if this is just a problem with the gasket, or the oil pan itself, and how bad it really is. Thanks.

might need a new drain plug... or at least put some thread seal on that sucker.

also, you might want to replace the drain plug washer. s13's have that crush-type washer that you're supposed to replace every time you change oil. avaliable at your local nissan dealer. if the pan is just oily, it's probably not a leak. if it's actually dripping, you might have a minor problem. hope that helps!
