rear wheel spinning too fast under hard cornering
my right rear wheel is spinning faster than my left for some reason when i make a sharp turn the wheel skips and makes a vibrating noise like my tires make the same sound if i understeered (going straight) except im turning..

my tires aren't GREAT but they aren't bad neither.
and the car is open diff does that matter?.. my 89 had a open diff and i never had this prob my guess would be the suspension then.. what area of suspension would cause this? |

Push down on the back, see if the suspension comes to rest right away or if it is wavy. If it is wavy (goes up and down a few times before rest, should be up and stop, or at worst up down stop), then you have worn shocks. This can cause your problem, because it IS the problem with my sister's '89 right now. If your shocks seem to be in good shape, your problem might be resolved with subframe spacers. If you replace the shocks or add spacers, it would be wise to do it to both sides.
The open diff IS the reason your car can do this, but it's usually controlled by the tires.

hmm... i know that my 89 never did anything like that, and i drove that thing hard.... right into a mountain =)..
anyways when they towed my 89 the tranny was messed up so the car was in gear ... and the driver rear wheel was spinning backwards while the other wheel was spinning forward.. this means its a open diff right? |

gah
Because the open diff is the reason your car CAN do that doesn't mean it's the reason it DOES (if that makes sense). Even with an open diff, it shouldn't do what you describe. Check out your rear suspension, notably the shocks before you fork over the cash for an LSD. Unless you just want an LSD of course . . . In that case, if your rear suspension is blow, then you'll just have two skipping wheels instead of one :P If something is broken, upgrading something else won't solve your problem.

does your right rear wheel spin faster than your left in both, left and right hand turns? under Acceleration? under Deceleration? (in other words) Does the rear inside tire spin when you are on the gas through a corner? or is it always the right rear spinning faster?

sounds like it could definately be a combination of a blown right rear strut and your open diff. If that right rear strut is blown then on those tight right handers, your suspension would move WAY more than it should. Unloading the tire, and allowing that tire to get all the power.
Do what misnomer said Quote:
Report back if it doesn't come up, and just stop.
