rb20 tranny doesnt clear rb25 clutch?

i bought a motor a while back and my rb25 came with a rb20 tranny.. for some reason the rb20 tranny bellhousing isnt long enough or something is wrong and wont clear the rb25 orc twinplate i bought. idk if its just me, or what.. it seems like the throwoutbearing is bottoming out not allowing the motor to seat all the way down. the tranny spins freely when it is on as far as it goes but there is still a 1/4 to 1/2 inch left to go. anybody have any ideas or solutions??im thinking maybe an aftermarket bearing isnt as tall as the stock one?

Most aftermarket twin plates require a special TOB and sleeve .
Also make sure that both clutch plate splines are aligned

thanks, yeah thats what i was thinking and kind of hoping its just the throw out bearing and i dont need to get another tranny, i know its all lined up fine and slides in all the way it can, but its just not long enough, i measured from the throw out bearing to the end of the bellhousing, and it is shorter than the pilot hole is deep
