im guessing its better to have it bolted to the body of the car?

i had a problem getting no spark with the coils, the problem turned out to be the powder coating on the valve cover (redone). the hole the coil pack bolt goes through has metal running through it. The igniter has the same type of thing. im guessing it might help out with a little more spark.
