anything under $1k isn't going to be upscale. you can get an ok paint job, but it'll have issues. especially if you're sticking with black.

It can be found, but you have to realize the shop we'll be cutting corners. Whether it be in materials or in labor. Also, it depends on the type of person you are.

What you may find to be a good paint job I may find it to be a total waste.

Don't get estimates over the phone. Cars are different. Materials chosen are different. Labor involved is different.

What you need to do is simply goto shops around your area that have had some good reviews. Get quotes. Talk to workers. Most importantly of all look at the work being done.

black is the hardest to paint. It shows ever fucking flaw known to man. If you want a good job....it's around 3k. If you want a good job for 1,500....find another color. Seriously. People spend upwards of 10-15k for a flawless black paintjob. (show car).....and even then...how many show cars do you see that are black...there's a reason for it.

if you were closer to sac my friend does paint and body work in the spring/summer time for 300 labor for paint and i dont remember his labor for body work but loves shooting black does a good job too you could do a paint job for around 1k after materials since it all depends on what kind of paint you go with but mine was around 450 in materials and then another 50 or so for primer

just take some time and do it yourself. Paint jobs are overpriced.

DTM Autobody in El Monte, they did my car and they do a lot of upscale show cars and SEMA projects, but if you want a basic paint they will work with you on the price.

Talk to Manny hes the manager and tell him Steven with the white S14 sent you, they hooked up me!

I got a quote today to fix and paint just my rear quarter panel from a really good body shop here in town. $750 and its only got a small scrap on it and a slight wave to it. So I'd say a $1000 paint job wouldn't look much better than one you did in your back yard with spray bombs.
