s14 kouki jdm blinker question
Now ive searched and searched and only came up with half ass write up but nothing straight forward. So my dilemma is that i have a 95 s14 which i converted to a kouki everything went on good till i tried wiring up the blinkers. For those who don't know the jdm kouki blinkers has 2 sockets that are completely different from the 95-96 blinkers and 97-98 kouki usdm blinkers. The socket of the jdm blinkers are the same size as the corner lights. so i said simple just find some plugs with pigtails and cut the original blinker plug off and wire the new one on but now my shit blinks fast.
So my question is does anyone know how to properly hook these damn blinkers up? I thought about buying a resistor and wire them in because obviously the load of the old bulb is much stronger causing it to blink faster. But there has to be a better way or a correct way of doing this. |

hit up the junkyard and get pigtails off an infiniti/nissan's blinkers. if you can't get the jdm male pigtails you're gonna have to rig something up. that's what i was gonna do.

I had to fix what one of the original owers did to mine, they cut off the winker lights and made the corner lights the winkers when I had a USDM front bumper.
When I got my J-spec front bumper I just cut off the side marker plugs and used them for my J-spec winkers my blinkers work normal.

I'm almost 100 percent sure he is using the oem foglight wiring for the main signal light instead of the oem turn signal light and with nothing plugged in the oem harness he's going to get fast blinker on the ends or inside. |
