Tial 38mm suggestions.

I currently work on KAT and I got everything installed already but I ran into a problem. I have tial 38mm gate and I vent it to the atmosphere, and its loud as $hit, like no muffler. I have seen some people mount the gate to the bottom port but also seen some mounted on the side port? does it make any differents? Also I mount the gate to the manifold right below the turbo flange. When the car idle, I can feel exhaust leak on the dump tube. Please help me out, I dunno what I did wrong or maybe that;s the way it is.

Right on. Either run a really long 1.5" (or so) exhaust pipe all the way to the rear of the car to muffle the noise (or rather, put it behind you, lessing the noise to you) or weld it into your downpipe.

technically that exhaust has to pass through the cat to be legal.
and running that pipe out the back would be a hell of a task.
