Catalytic Converter Help
Hey guys I have developed an exhaust leak since the install of the N1 dual. I have looked at it and have taken it to a shop and it appears one of the flanges at the Cat/Exhaust connection is bent (either the N1 or the Cat flange). There is about a 1/8" gap at the top of the joint. The Cat needs to be replaced anyway and I would like to go ahead and get a high flow cat, but my main concern is sealing up the leak.
What I am looking for is a direct bolt in Cat that has flanges that are able to swivel(i.e. not already welded in place). Does such a Cat exist? If not then what are my options? I assume that a universal Cat would allow you to position your own flanges. Anyone have experience with this? The shop suggested they could cut the flange off my N1 and weld in a new section of pipe along with a new flange, but I don't want them hacking into exhaust system. Thanks Ryan Cavey |

I am looking into a universal cat from Random Technology or CATCO(anyone know where i can get dimensions for CATCO?) Saw a fairly small one (the 8100 series ) only 8" long. I think the shop could attach joints to it that would allow for some adjustment. What do you guys think?
