a friend of mine is currently running a Nismo GT 2 way in his 180sx 5 bolt pumpkin. he recently purchased a s15 hlsd without half shafts.

the question is can he use the 5 bolt half shafts on the hlsd?
everything i have been reading for the most part leads me to telling him no.
however i haven't found anything definitive.

No, you must use the S15 halfshafts with the HLSD. They are 6bolt, so he'll need 6bolt axles to go with it.

I have a question though, why is he swapping from the 2way to the HLSD? If he's a drifter he's going to want to keep that 2way in there. HLSDs are not intended for drifting, they constantly send power back and forth between the two wheels and will never truly "lock" so to speak.

Well he doesn't drift or drag, but he claims the 2 way clunks alot, I've been in the car its negligible but to each there own,

I pretty much narrowed it down to him needing the half shafts
