Best arcade racing game.....SEGA Super GT!!!! That game still rox....i love using the McLaren on the Pro course....i would smoke any of you in that game

ferrari 355 in the arcade is good but very hard to drive....
i like super GT by sega at the arcade too

then at home i like GT3

I disagree.  <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>  While Asteroids was good, I think Donkey Kong is the greatest game ever.  "Donkey Kong sucks!"  "You know what?  YOU SUCK!!"  - Billy Madison.  I know it's not the exact quote.  

The best racing/killing/maiming/dented fenders and all is Interstate 76.  :)Pimpin' soundtrack, and hella cool.  Interstate 82, the predecessor, sucked.  I hardly even play it, it's that bad.  If it would have followed more in I76's footsteps, it would have succeeded.

i played it at a couple lan parties
it doesn't run too well on my computer
its like...100 times better than tribes 1
not really...just more vehicles and stuff

Hands down, without a doubt, it has to be Gran Turismo 3 for the mighty PS2! Where else can you extremely mod up your s13/14 and kick the shit out of civics and integras?

By the way, has anyone ever used the "drag 240sx" in gran turismo 2?. That thing just kicks ass in straight line accelleration, I would assume that the 800+hp has something to do with it.

Tokyo Extreme Racer is fun in that it's very one on one, and you get the thrill of it being a real street race, and you could mod the bod, but physics and realism is really lacking. in fact, the cars themselves aren't too realistic at all. they claim 600hp on a 3000lb car, it could get burned on a straight away by a 300hp integra that weighs 2400lb.

GT3 is much more realistic in terms of physics and just having the car perform as it's indicated in the specs.

the most fun car game is still Rush 2047. physics has nothing to do with that game, it's just all about hang time and secret shortcuts. but it's really expensive to play at the arcades.

Someone mentioned HALO. HALO IS THE SHIT. THERE IS NOTHING BETTER THAN HALO. IF I WERE TO DIE I WOULD LIKE TO COME BACK AS A HUNTER JUST TO BE KILLED BY THE MASTER SHIZNIT. ONCE AGAIN I MUST SAY HALO IS THE SHIT. as for racing games well i think GT3 or Dayton usa.... no wait now i remember a really good racing game. Episode one RACER!!! j/k
