s14 Calling all S14s with J30 Diffs...Help please

I was wondering how many of you have J30 Diffs witha non-abs s14.

Reason being, I cant install my j30 diff because i have the non-abs drive shaft, yet i read on a lot of other forums, that it is possible. If you have a non-abs s14, w/ a j30 diff, please respond.

thanks

Re:

I've got a 95 J30 vlsd in my S14 w/o abs and everything worked fine. Just make sure the J30 diff is a 95+. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I have a non-ABS 1995 S14 with a J30 VLSD installed. I did not have any problems whatsoever during my install.

yes it fits with the non abs drive shaft. no i havent had any problems. yes i installed it myself with help from a friend.

ps. dont use a car jack cause the diff will fall off and make an attempt on your life... trust me i know.

pps. take off your driveshaft, itll make installing the diff MUCH easier.

.. but i doubt that they know what they are doing...
Honestly, it's really simple. I guessing if they're confident enough to say "yeah, it'll be 100 bux" then they'll be fine.

The basic procedure is:
a) unbolt old pumpkin
b) don't drop it on your head
c) bolt in new pumpkin
d) don't drop it on your head

Without the ABS driveshaft, people have found success by reversing the "shaft to LSD" bolts so the heads of the bolts are facing the front of the car. You'll have to either remove or tie up the wire that goes to the "abs speed sensor ring" on the LSD. Make sure you change the LSD fluid and flush out any metal chips from inside your bell housing.

i did mine in my driveway in 2 hours, and that was taken my time. i had to change the rear cover as i put mine into a s13, and change out the c/vs, and rig soem front mount spacers and other little rigs to make it work. i used a jack and a couple jack stands for safty.....lol the lsd is like 60 or 70 lbs with fluid, i lifted it and carried it around and even lifted it into place while my friend tightend the nuts on the rear cover.......
