got aftermerket cigarette lighter, place to install?

Hi, guys, i was concerning where to install my cigarette lighter.

I got it from autozone, it has positive and negative wiring (obviously)

but i dont know where to install as my radio bezel has boost gauge where cigarette lighter used to be..

So my question is that where should i put it,,, and which wire should i use?

I want to use the one that is the stock cigarette lighter wiring, but i dont know which wire that is.. I want it to be working when turn my key to ignition..

so yeah which wire should i use so it will turn on as i put my car key to position 2??

help me guys since im new to 240sx and i dont know which wire to use..

I assume you have an s14 since you have the boost gauge in the cigarette lighter hole. Did the aftermarket one come with any brackets or mounting accessories? i feel like the most convenient place for you to put it now will be where your ashtray is or in one of your radio din slots.

Depending on how the factory cigarette lighter was removed, you may still have the plug for it behind the radio bezel. I'd look for that.

i see theres piggy plug, and yeah it came with the mounting for the gauge, but all of them were broken,.,, and it looks like shXt lol so yeah,,

which wire should i use?

the wire color of the stock cigarette lighter is orange and black. the best place to put it it think will be in the center console even my new altima has it in there.

Cut out a hole in the back section of your ashtray and epoxy or fiberglass the new lighter in and then just run the wiring to the back of it. That's what I did and I love it. The ashtray flap also keeps it hidden when it's closed.

Im pretty sure black is ground, orange is hot.

positive terminal in the middle negative is on the out side. Just look at where the wires connect on the socket and then install apporopriately :]
