knock sensor

sup everyone, here is my question...on my 94 vert with its Auto KA still, i keep getting a knock code and i cant find as to why...
i already replaced the knock sensor it self
replaced the short harness
and even unplugged the sensor it self, unplugged the harness and completely took it of the block to see if it would make a difference and no dice, it still keeps coming up... i keep clearing it and it will show up almost imminently and will throw a check engine a little afterwards..
anyone know what could be causing this or anything else that i need to go through that i missed?

Are you seeing any other code than just the knock sensor code? I got the same issue, think the sensor is picking up a ping since I'm throwing another code (ign primary coil issue).

It could also be the wiring in your main harness is shorting out. The knock sensor wiring is a shielded cable and the shielding sometimes shorts out on the sensor wire (poor quality wiring maybe?). I had this problem on two S13s. I replaced the entire harness for one and just put a resistor in at the ECU side for the other.
