sorry 60kph?
im just wondering because my friend in his probe can drive at 50 in 5th and all it does is drop the rpm to about a 1000 but on mine it drops it to 1000 and the engine seems like its shivering if that makes any sense?

well there are many possibilities to the reason you can start w/out a clutch. 1 could be that your car was previously an automatic, or 2 that someone disconnected the clutch interlock switch.

as for your bogging...give some more info...

Are you crusing at 60kph or accelerating when it bogs? Either way, you should be in 3rd gear at that speed, maybe 4th for cruising.
You're gonna damage your rings.

no its not that i do it i just wanted to know why it does it? its like the engine vibrates hard because its not in a high rpm
also my car previously had a starter on it but it got taken out could that be the cause of me being able to start the car without the clutch?

I don't understand what you are saying about the RPM issue. If you are in 5th gear at 60kph, it will shake. Try using 3rd gear.
If by "starter" you mean a remote starter, yeah, that would be the cause of it. For the car to start, you have to acticate the clutch interlock relay, which is done by pressing down the clutche pedal. The previous owner would have to have disabled it in order for the remote starter to work.

1) the ford probe sucks
2) any manual transmission car should be startable without the use of starter (rolling clutch technique)
3) cars should never be driven at 1,000rpms unless you are an idiot. always keep the rpms over 2000 unless you're idling.

Well, unless you have a big V8

But on a KA yeah, you need to downshift. KA's seem to shake a lot more than most cars though when they are lugged at low rpm. I'm guessing its because of the long stroke and general imballance of the engine.
