RB25det two-tone S13, Apexi coils, RPF1s, Power FC, etc.
Hey everyone, I am considering selling my RB25det powered '89 S13 two-tone coupe. I love the car but I am looking to trade it for something different, preferably something with A/C. The engine was professionally built and installed by Alex and Adrian at Vildini Motorsport. The bottom end is built with CP forged pistons and ACL race bearings. They did an amazing job, the enigne bay looks very tidy and clean. It put down 240whp when it was dyno'd at Drift Speed. The stock turbo is said to be good for 300whp if you turn up the boost. The 5 lug swap, 300zx TT front brakes, and Battle Version adjustable links were installed and the alignment was done less than 1k miles ago. The RPF1s and tires were new when put on so they have less than 1k miles on them as well. The Apexi coils feel great and I am in love with how this thing rides and handles since getting everything dialed in. It is firm riding but I daily drive it everyday and I love it. The wheel fitment is great, the only time it ever rubs is when cornering very hard AND hitting a bump at the same time, which I can live with. The interior is in good shape, the HUD works, but there is one vertical crack in the dash above the cluster (so you don't notice it when seated in the car). It has a Bride Zeta II seat with a Nardi dish steering wheel on a quick release as well as a double din head unit that plays DVDs and has Ipod hook up. The one problem it has mechanically right now is the aftermarket coolant reservior overflows if the car is not allowed to cool down properly before being turned off. Alex at Vildini believes this is due to the cap on the coolant reservior having too soft of a spring in it and he believes it to be an easy fix. Also some of the speakers in the sound system appear to be blown. The exterior is the only place that needs attention. It needs paint and has a few spots of surface rust around the windshield and sunroof. There are a few dings and stuff as well. Getting a silvia front and new paint is going to be the next step in the process if I decide to keep it.
This car is 90% done. Its got a built bottom end so it is ready for as much power as you want to give it, just choose a turbo that suits your power desires. Some paint and a silvia front or a kit and the forum fan boys will be all over your nuts too. I'm just starting grad school in the fall and don't really have to energy to devote to finishing this thing. Other things on my plate at the moment. I would consider trades for a Miata, GF8 impreza, FD, swapped cressida, S2000, E39 5 series, 510, 240z, or a bobber or cafe racer style bike, or anything interesting really. Preferable with A/C. Plus or minus cash depending on the value of the trade. I am willing to sell out right as well, shoot me an offer.
