Help with SR20DET powerloss
On my SR20(lightly moded) at 12PSI, and at 7k in 3rd gear...The car just stops accelerating. Like complete, no more power. If I shift into 4th, it takes a few seconds, but then the power comes back...after having my foot on the gas for about 2 or 3 seconds after shifting. It feels strong and stable all of the way up to that point, redline in 1st and 2nd is normal, 7,500k. Does anyone know the cause of this? and what I can do to fix it? its about about 150kph or 90mph, roughly. Thanks.

mine kinda falls off at 7k, but that's just the tiny T25 getting overworked for the most part IMHO.
or you could be hitting speed cut? that's pretty much what happens when the factory speed limiter kicks in, the car kinda dies then comes back. but then again the speed cut is at like 112 or 121mph (can't remember exactly what it is but it's more than 90mph). the only possibility of this is that you're running a smaller overall diameter tire than stock so your speed limiter is cutting in early, but that's about all i could think of that would do that.

SR motor set/clip $2500+, FMIC kit $700+, Downpipe $100+, 3" exhaust $500+, Misc install parts $100+, Shop labor for install $1000+ and you still only make 220rwhp for $5000 so what's so CHEAP about the SR swap again? |
