Takin off the Throttle Body

HEy guys

anyone ever remove their throttle body before? I want to take mine off to clean it.. (KA24DE)

i know its 4 hex bolts and Ill have to take the intake off, the cables unsnap from the thing theyre attached to...but is there anything else i should worry about?

go buy yourself a new throttle body gasket. and might as well get a coupling and remove the coolant lines and tie them together. When you pull off your throttle body, you will understand what I'm talking about.

arent they there for if you start your car in the cold so the butterfly doesnt stick?

why would you disconnect them>

heated TB causes heat soak warming the intake air quite signifigantly
thye do basically nothing in terms of cold weather i live in Iowa and i have done the TB bypass on many cars driven year round and have seen no ill effects
