Man, you don't check the boards for a couple days and look what you miss out on.  Anyway, i have a new (at least new to me) theory on judging on whether a particular modification will actually make it faster.  If you took 2 dyno charts, one before and one after the modification, and using calculus, found the area under the curve (hp,torque, or a combination of both, i don't really know), for each chart and compared them, the one with the most area would be the faster car wouldn't it?  This method would take into consideration losses in low end in exchange for gains in high end.  Of course you can consider RPM ranges as well.  Like when racing you never really dip down below 4750, so you could just find area from there to 6250 to find which car will be faster on the track.  Just something i'd been thinking about lately.
