ok yes im a newb to the nissan and 240 world but my car is running like crap around 4000 rpm and i wanna upgrade to the z32 i just splice the wires into the factory plug right?

u need a safc to convert the voltage signal u cant just pop maf in and hope ill work unless its a exact replacement.

You need something to tune with for the car to be able to adjust to the z32 maf. Safc will work. Also you cannot just start splicing wires, there is also a chassis ground wire that must be grounded to the chassis. There are wiring diagrams on google for 240sx to z32 conversion.
