ok so im in the process of building my first s13 and i have had the engine wired and started. last weekend i went to start it and there was a spark under the dash as i cranked the ignition. the car started fine and ran good for a while, but when i turned it off, i had no power. not even ignition. what could be my problem? where do i start? i tried jumping the car but still no power so i know its a wiring issue.
any help would be appreciated, i am running out of weather to get this car on the road!
please be patient with me, i am a newbie to the import/nissan world.

"main" fuse? would that be in the fuse box below the dash, or one of the relay boxes in the engine compartment? pictures would help. thanks guys!

also, the spark came from to the left of the steering wheel inside the dash where the two accessory buttons would be. it wasnt from the fuse panel.
