Gearbox leaking...first time
So u probably should put the video on MUTE, cause u definitely won't understand a word and maybe it will sound annoying. lol (another language)
So this is what happened. Went out a night did a couple of donutsss and maybe i went a little over the top. :P Then i started to notice each time i park and leave, that there was a spot of something, so i saw that i was clearly gearoil. So i went to take a look and don't know if it's leaking from the back or if it's leaking from somewhere else. Here is the video Video - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting Maybe U guys can give me some pointers on what i should be looking for thanks, i did do some research on seals that i maybe will have to change the tailshaft seal? ![]() |

It looks like your lower shift boot is ripped, which causes a leak in that area. Tailshaft seals are not very common to leak. That boot is VERY common to leak. Pull your upper rubber shift boot out and have a look at it.

Tailshaft leaks are ridiculously common. I've gone through so many of them on various different chassis. However, I do agree with Racepar1, it's probably just your shift boot.

Will take a look at the boot, if i change the boot and it still is leaking what maybe the cause of this IF this is the case?
I ask due that i have to order the part and it takes up to 2 weeks to come to curacao, so i would prefer to spend a bit more and obtain all the parts. |

Having a leaky gear box isn't the end of the world, unless the Netherlands has ridiculously strict environmental rules. Both the shift boot and tailshaft seal costs somewhere around $20. If you're in a rush to get it fixed, its not a bad idea to order both and keep them on stock.
