S13 wiring questions

Ok guys I'm going to wire up the car, basically 'from scratch'. It won't be a daily so there's minimal electronics and accessories etc. but there's still a few areas that I don't understand, any insight would be appreciated. Yes I do know the Fsm shows 'everything' but I plan to change a good bit of this for simplification reasons. Such as ditching pop up headlights. And running seperate switches for 'acc' 'ign' and start

I will be running a blue sea 12 fuse panel.

What can be combined into the same fuse for power?
- one fuse for each headlight ( as a precaution for not loosing both)
- one for all rear lights? (Brake, tail, tag, reverse) or do I need to seperate?

What needs a relay? Fuel pump, e fans, ign, headlights, ecu, coil packs? Other than that things should draw small current correct? Enough that a switch can handle, such as brake and reverse lights.

Circuit breaker or large fuse at the battery?

Last is the switch on the gas pedal (do I need it? What's it for? Tells the ecu WOT? Necessary in my sr swap?) and brake pedal has 2 switches, brake lights and?

Thank you to anyone who feels I am not capable of this. I have no fear in my ability to learn, quite quickly at that. I would be very appreciative of any helpful info on my questions.

If you are asking about what IGN mean and what it does, please dont get into rewiring your car.
But to point you in the right direction without spoon feeding you everything, download the FSM and start studying that. It will give you an oversight on how things flow and work.

I edited my post as I copied it from someone else I sent it to...and have learned a few things since. What I meant was do coil packs and ecu need relay power?

To figure this out myself i would: look at the fsm, ignition column switch, and see what the '2nd click' powers. I got the fsm still learning to understand it. Plus I have it for s13 sohc auto hatch(what I own) but its getting an sr and I don't have a good engine harness diagram, or interior chassis up in the steering column area.

But is that correct?

I would advise against this idea of yours re-wiring the whole car. Study study study the FSM. It shows how everything is wired.
