Steering rack issue (intense shaking)

Ok guys I have an odd issue here. I installed a new (remanned) rack into the s13. Plumbed it all up (and have since double checked to make sure my lines are correct). Filled her with fluid, turned the wheel lock to lock many times to bleed the system. Added more fluid etc (ATF fluid also)

I then started the car, front jack up. And immediately the steering wheel started violently going about halfa turn back and forth. I am talking VIOLENT. I tried to grab it and bout snapped my wrist.

Any ideas about this? I am stumped as my first thoughts were mayb the rack hard lines were swapped. But I verified the shorter line goes to the upper port (and more center one of course)

The short line goes on the left port. It has a 14mm size fitting.
The long loopdy loop line goes on the right port. I think it's a 17mm.

Make sure your rack is on there at the right angle, the ports should NOT be up and down, but more side to side.

If it's not the lines, it's probably the rack missing a seal internally or something.

I re did all my lines, but. High pressure is the 14mm and low pressure return is the 17.

I really don't think it could be the lines...I will try and contact the people who re manned it.

I had a similar issue with my car. I bought a new rack and that solved my problem. I think one of the seals went bad in my rack and that was the cause for the shake. Good luck with fixing your issue though.

Double check the lines going to the pump/res. If memory serves pump is bottom line and res is top line going into the fittings near the steering column.
