Ok here is my problem...
I have this clicking sound coming from my sr...its from the engine and it doesnt sound like rod knock carbon knock or what ever...but it sound more like something is loose...

I was told by a friend that more then likey its a valve cover clip...or something like that he called it...could be wrong...but he said it needs to be adjusted...

It makes noise when the car is cold and hot...
it makes noise only when im on the gas and goes away at high speed...well i cant hear it
Doesnt get louder at higher rpm or when engine strains
The car has good compression and no leaking oil and runs fine

any help? Thanks in advance.

check to see if its coming from the injectors, quite common actually, put yor ear right next to them, they sometimes tick all the tiem regardless of engine speed

Putting a screwdriver on the top of the injectors to see if they're clicking is a great way to see if they are working. Is it a very loud tick?

loud enogh to hear with the window down...ill try the screw driver thing...thanks again
