Okay, I cracked my headlight.

UGH!

Now I have another spare one that doens't work, but the glass is still good.

So my question is, How do I remove the glass housing off the actual headlight. I know i'm supposed to remove all the rubber stuff and wiring then put it in the oven. But at what temp? ??

Anyone know exactly how to do this? I can't stand having this broken light especially after I bought some new bulbs for it.

pre heat over to 400 for 10 mins. then turn it off. put headlight in for 5~10 mins, depends situation, with the oven off. pry it open slowly. if it is too hard to pry it open. then keep repeat the process you can actually find more info about this @ www.hidforum.com good luck

Did this work? I would like to open the headlight and flip the cutoff shield around so it doesn't blind people and lights up the road a little better.
