![]() Yea so i heard today that i have to be at formula D in july to compete. The race is at sears point, and is a pretty big deal. Theres only one problem. My car.
My car is currently all the way apart in my garage. When i say all the way apart its really all the way apart. No motor tranny ecu wiring dash seats roll cage suspension subframe cross member gas tank windshield front and rear body panels. We removed everything to rebuild the car for D1 qualifying. I didnt know i had this event coming up. Anyways... I still have to do the following. Re build or find a new motor. New turbo injectors computer install fuel cell weld onto the cage (door bars, braces) Get a new helmet driving suit gloves driving shoes 5 point harness instead of my 4 point make aluminum door panels (we hollowed out the door) Make a rear fire wall for the fuel cell get fuel cell lines. (stainless) Get tires new windshield paint the interior new clutch and flywheel get a new battery fix the fenders and put the front end on get a new s15 hood etc. If anyone has a shop that wants to sponsor a awsome car, for advertising. Or if anyone wants to help out with the car at my house. Or if you have any parts i may need please give me a call or email me. Thanks Luke 408-515-9598

If it's that important why don't you just cancel out some of the things on that list? Just get the suspension and wheels on, then make sure it runs. Everything else will have to wait if competing that important.

Luke,
Best of luck in getting the car running in time for Formula D. Honestly, I'd just say fuck that event altogether and concentrate on D1GP Qualifying.. but thats my opinion. Why doesn't Rishie help you out? :P |

Chris. Could i come look at the motor?
Also I wouldnt be attempting this event unless i thought i had a decent chance of doing well, and unless my sponsors wernt asking me to do so. I would really like to just focus on d1, but gotta do what i gotta do. Also i will be working on the car every night at my house if anyone wants to help. Thanks for all the support guys. Luke

it has intake manifold, throttle body, spark plugs, but i think thier no good anymore just keepint dirt from getting in, I cant remeber if the intake was port mached or not I believe it was but dont hold me to it. It has waterpump, oil pan non dented. Thats it. pretty much just the block.

Well my motor had a stripped oil line, so i thought i was going to need a new block, and so I got that one. But it took so long to get I decieded to attempt to fix my oil line with a heilicoil. it ended up working. No leaks as of today 2yrs. So that longblock has been sitting around. I was planning on doing a build up, but that doesnt seem like it will happen anytime soon. It is somewhat taking up space, so I figured I might as well get rid of it.
The condition of internals should be just fine. It was a longblock chosen by this one guy that he was gonig to use so he can race with it. He doesnt like to rebuild motors. So it should be in perfect condition. Chris |
