PS pump removal, but keep the pulley?

does anyone know if i can remove the PS pump, but keep the pulley on...so that i dont have to find a new belt (and it will keep the belt adjuster on it as well)

this is for a 91 KA24DE...

i was thinking that if i could somehow remove the pump, and possibly keep the wheel attached using bolts and studs to hold it onto the engine.

let me know your ideas on this
