top position switch / reverse lamp switch: same?
today i was replacing my top position switch and reverse lamp switch on my tranny (91 KA), and i found out that i had one reverse lamp switch and a neutral position switch. the neutral position has a different shaped harness than the reverse and top switches.
is the top position switch the same part as the reverse lamp switch? im assuming so since the part is just a "switch assem" #32005-21U10. do i even need the top position switch? the FSM says it deals with 4th gear, but i read some people just plugging it with a bolt, what does it exactly control? |
