SOHC to DOHC style door lock mech.

Ok so I swapped a door from a SOHC onto my DOHC, and I really hate this whole "holding the door knob while closing " sequence to lock it.. is there any thing I can do to make it not function like this? or should I just swap the internals from the DOHC if I can?

Nope. That's how they work. Buy a keyless entry.

if you add resistance to the lock mechanism it wont. i had powerdoorlocks (disconnected) and the extra resistance caused them to close without lifting the handle.

and guess what, i ripped them out last week and now im back to stock. lifting handles..

who cares.

The 93+ doorlocks don't require for you to hold up on the handle, so you could swap it with those.
