s14 ignition coil hunt

Here's the thing. My ignition coil is going out (ECU coe 21) and i need a new one. The thing is that all the places i tried to order one from doesn't carry it. I tried 2 internet sites, the nissan dealer and auto zone. the internal coil is not replaceable. is replacing the distributor the only solution? also would it be more economical to buy a MSD ignition instead of getting a OE part?

You can easily buy a used distributor for $100 or so. I sold three of them last month. Check forums/classifieds.

There is no other way to replace it, and bypassing it with an external coil is more work.

Can a 95+ internal-coiled distributor be used with a 93- motor?

Sorry for the thread jack, it's just so close to the subject.
