![]() i'm just wondering what the differences in the E5 and the 62 model 5spd ECU's are... if i'm not mistaken, e5 is for blacktop, 62 is for red, but what is the difference in them, if any?
thanks, Jb |

They are DIFFERENT. o2 sensor signal is different. on blacktop motors the o2 sensor is fat. the redtop is smaller. if you use a E5 on a redtop motor it might run really rich. hope that helps.

Yes, the o2 sensors are different, but no it won't make a difference. ALL narrowband o2 sensors made (in ANY type of car: chevy, ford, nissan, honda, etc...) use what's called a Nernst Cell to calculate the output voltage. Because of this ALL o2 sensors output the same 0-1v curve based on A/F ratio. ~matt

i keep having problems with the car stailling when your cruising around in 4th or 5th and push the clutch in; also, it takes some work to get it started after it has been sitting for some hours (overnight), you have to give it a lil gas and crank it a couple times, then let it warm for like 5 mins before itll run correctly. The o2 is currently not plugged in because when i plug it in it lets it run a little smoother, but it loose almost all power... know what the deal is?
