why would you need to cut anything on your coilovers?

Wow. Put down the tools and step away from your car.
Gently remove the rear deck lid, and unbolt the old shocks, rebolt the new ones. If you cut something... well.. it's incorrect. -Jeff

I think (I hope) that he wants to make a hole in the pakage tray for damper ajusment. Just stick the ajustment hex key in the damper and bring the tray down on the key and mark where the key hits. Take the tray out and drill a hole in the tray were you made the marks.

That was what I was talking about...the dampner adjustment...I haven't installed them yet but don't you have to make holes for them? It seems they are tall compared to stock...if there is room to not cut that would be best, I don't see myself adjusting these much after the first few days.
Thanks

If the coilovers you're installing are too tall to clear the rear deck, they're not designed for your car. Go buy the correct ones and quit asking stupid questions.

There is plenty of room for any stud to come up and not hit the tray. The only reason you drill a hole in the tray is to make damper ajustments quicker than taking off the tray.
I think I'm going to be a lasy bastard and get the EDFC.
